Project Introduction The Naga Database

black & white photographs taken by Ursula Graham Bower between 1937 and 1946

caption: Chingjaroi village, N.E. Manipur. A previous village on this site is said to have been wiped out in a raid. The site was later re-settled by contingents from Tangkhul villages and from others more to the North. They offer an interesting cultural fusion.
