text: We are back again on the ordinary bridle path and halting the night in a rest house. After weeks of grass huts, the matted floors and fireplace are comfort indeed.
text: As the march this morning lay up an exposed hillside with no shelter from the sun, we set of at 6 am. It was cold and dark when Shoizhu brought the hurricane lamp and we shivered with cold as we dressed. The valley was white with mist and the Gurkha sentry was trying to keep warm beside a few embers. However, we reached the hilltop in the cool of the morning. As we reached the summit we suddenly broke through the steam-like mist into brilliant blue sky. All around us were hilltops protruding (158) from the mist like dark islands floating on a white sea.
