text: The rice harvest on the other hand is initiated ceremonially by the Wai-yem. His clan also is called Wai-yem and to that belonged the founders of Mon. It was insisted with certainty that the Wai-yem clan founded Mon but in response to a question it was agreed that the Ang clan was already involved in the founding. I think it is possible though that this was done so that the Ang clan would not appear to be younger.
