text: (179) Mokokchung 10/11/1936.
text: We took exactly four hours for the fourteen miles between Mongsenyimti and Mokokchung. On the way I shot another green pigeon. Our speed seemed rather fast even to the Konyaks. (The pony I had already sent back from Chantongia). In Mokokchung I met Mills, Smith and Major Williams who arrived a few minutes after me. I was put up in Smith's bungalow. Mokokchung is understandably in turmoil as 150 men of the Assam Rifles have arrived from Kohima as well as some groups of coolies for our tour. It looks as though it will be a very big undertaking.
