text: To Pedi. Here the Kukis of Teiyang complained that Chama had planted out a leper they wanted to be rid of close to their village. I ordered them to either bring him into Kohima hospital or to remove him to some uninhabited jungle within 10 days. Probably they will be unable to get him to Kohima as he is a very takrari fellow. I used to compel lepers to remain in hospital, but apparently a complete cure is practically impossible. They improve up to a point, when all improvement stops.
