text: There were complaints here as to the rate paid for thatch. Apparently -/4/- is paid for a load at Sakhai and -/2/- on the Old Sema road, but apparently -/2/- is the rate paid in the villages here for a slightly smaller load of better thatch.
text: Zumethi came in about the Gaonburaships. There are two Gaonburas and three families claiming. The original family is represented by Zukiya son of Khuzheke representing the original founder, Gohevi son of Gwuvekhu representing his younger brother, and Zhevekhu son of Wovekhu representing a later accretion to the village living as a separate khel. Zhevekhu becomes Gaonbura in Wovekhu's place. Gohevi is at present G.B. and will be succeeded, when the time comes, by Zukiya.
text: As there was some confusion as to the house counting of Khukiya village, I sent Hetoi to recount it.
