text: (172) Tuesday, March 1st. Shongphel. 11.
text: Another dispensary, this time many babies. Luikai still at it, but the last patient defeated him. It shrieked like a rusty nail and a saw, out of sheer cussedness, mostly, and got on my nerves to such an extent I wanted to brain it. Got off about 10.30, took some cine photos and others.
text: Warmer here. There is a big jhum down the hill, and I saw the glare and the (173) smoke just now. Found the headband on my Chingjaroi basket had gone missing; raised Cain; half the coolies and Luikai now making me a new one. Hope its all right.
