text: Tingkhupeo strangles a small chick in front of the dekachang and leaves it on the ground; if its vent dries the weather will duly dry up. The villagers may not visit streams or bring in plantain-stems for food; field-work is forbidden and plantain leaves may not be brought in. Village not closed to strangers.
