text: Climate.- There does not appear to be anything in the actual climate of the Naga Hills to account for the sickness which has always prevailed among troops quartered in that district, and which was conspicuous in the Field Force of 1879-80. An exception must be made in the case of the terai between Dimapur and Golaghat, which is very unhealthy, as such regions always are. Samaguting on the outermost chain of hills shares in the unhealthiness of the Dansiri valley, but all the higher ranges to the south appear to enjoy a fairly good climate, in which tolerably obvious precautions will ensure the preservation of health.
