text: In the villages of the Thendu group none of the cloths typical of Wakching were locally manufactured, but some men wore cloths purchased from Thenkoh people. Here, very little cotton was used, and most textiles were made from the bark fibre of a small shrub of the 'Urticacaea' family. Such cloth, woven from bark fiber, was rougher than the local cotton cloth and was generally left the natural color, a dull off-white.
