text: In most Konyak houses there were numerous vessels and flasks for holding liquids. Many were made of gourd, sometimes strengthened with plaited cane covers, and some were fashioned in basketwork, tightly woven and water-proofed with the sap of the Ficus tree. Bamboo culms of all sizes were used for transporting and storing water, and women returning from the village spring transported six or seven culms of water in large conical carrying baskets.
