text: Late at night the boys and unmarried men went to the bachelors' hall, and this hour was called 'ban-dzim,' "bachelors' hall gathering." Then followed 'yo-dzim,' "girls' dormitory gathering," when the boys would collect in the dormitories of their traditional girlfriends and spend the evening in singing and chatting. Then came 'yo-weng,' "leaving the girls' dormitory," the hour when boys would either part from the girls of the dormitory and return to their own morung, or go with a lover to one of the granaries, where the couple could spend the night.
