text: Finally I went to the house of Henlong, the beautiful girl, whose photograph had appeared as the frontispiece in the first edition of 'The Naked Nagas'. I found her sifting millet, a tiny rather frail old lady clad only in a small skirt. She recognized me immediately and spoke with great vivacity and undiminished charm of the old days when I photographed her and went about with Shankok. She was obviously pleased by my visit and the prominence her photograph had given her. I told her how many people in Europe had admired her beauty.
