text: Another factor furthering fundamental changes in the social pattern of Nagaland is the spread of Christianity which has undermined many old institutions. In Arunachal Pradesh there has so far been no introduction of any new religion or ideology, and for this reason, more than any other, an organic development of the traditional religion and way of thinking is more likely to take place. Obviously not all old customs will remain to be practised, but there will certainly be no sudden break and abandonment of inherited values.
